Root and Wing is an indie folk rock sister band from Strasburg
PA. Root and Wing is (Eli)sabeth and Erin Weaver, two musicians
who have collaborated their interests over the past three
years to observe personal and political experiences. Since
Elisabeth and Erin have spent numerous years of their lives
traveling to and from their home, they chose the name for
their band from a quote they grew up with stating "There
are two gifts we can give our children, one is roots the
other is wings."

Root and Wing released their first album, "Finding
Ground" in 2005 after two years of the sisters
traveling between two different states. The album was recorded
and mastered at Freemans Processing Corp. by Michel Musser
and mastered by Erik Sahd of Lancaster. "Finding
Ground" features music filled with a "medley
of melancholy moods and amped up attitudes," states
Owen Long of Lancaster. Many of Root and Wing songs address
interests in hiding and flaunting wings, being imperfectly
beautiful, and being grounded and in flight.
